Minutes of the 3March 2008 GHBPA
Board meeting
Ellen Gellene called the meeting to
order at 7:00. She called for a motion
to dispense with the reading of the minutes.
A motion was made and seconded to dispense with the reading of the
minutes, the vote passed unanimously.
On line vote to pay for Mr. Mckee’s room passed by majority. Ellen asked to clarify the process by which
online votes are taken. Presently,
Ellen has been taking a majority of all 31 Executive Committee members, which
is 16, but sometimes has to wait for up to a week to get a majority of 16
votes. Since the Bylaws state that
during a meeting votes are counted by the majority of those present, Ellen
proposed that a reasonable time limit be placed on online votes (such as four
days) and at the end of that time period, the votes received shall be counted
and the online vote shall pass or be defeated by the majority of those who
voted. Those present at the meeting
agreed with the proposal.
